THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading, long-established metalworking local company known for its full-cycle production expertise. Specializing in metalworking turnkey projects, the company delivers high-quality products for industries such as infrastructure, telecommunications, construction, and industrial components. With a workforce of over 150 employees, the company is looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Manager to oversee production, ensure operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in line with the company’s growth objectives.
THE ROLE
As Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the production teams, ensuring that all operational, technical, and quality standards are met.
You will be responsible for overseeing production and production planning of complex turnkey projects, maintenance, quality control, health and safety, procurement, and technical offerings, while managing a large team of department heads and their respective units.
This role demands a strategic leader who can optimize processes, introduce technological advancements, and enhance overall production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Operations: Coordinate, plan, and monitor all production activities to meet monthly production targets while ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Oversee the maintenance of production equipment, ensuring smooth operations and increasing production capacity as needed.
- Quality Control & HSE Compliance: Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and that health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of department heads across production, technology, welding, quality control, procurement, and technical offerings, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
- Technical Offering & Procurement: Work closely with the procurement and technical teams to optimize material acquisition processes and ensure that technical specifications are met in line with client requirements.
- Strategic Management: Collaborate with senior management to implement new technologies and production processes that will enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
THE CANDIDATE
- Educational Background: A degree in mechanical or production engineering (or related field) is required.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing large production teams in an industrial environment.
- Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing over 150 employees, including department heads. Must be able to motivate, lead, and improve team performance.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of production processes, equipment maintenance, quality control, and health and safety standards in the manufacturing industry.
- Analytical & Strategic: A hands-on problem solver with the ability to think strategically and implement operational improvements that align with the company’s growth goals.
- Languages: Fluency in Romanian & English; additional languages are a plus.
