INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS
Location: South-West Romania | Site-Based Role | Industrial Transformation Environment
We are recruiting a hands-on and execution-driven Senior PMO / Project Integrator to support the transformation and restart of an industrial production site in South-West Romania, part of a broader European industrial platform.
This is a critical role at the intersection of operations, engineering, and business, ensuring that multiple CAPEX, modernization, and operational projects are delivered in a coordinated, structured, and results-oriented manner.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The PMO / Project Integrator will act as the execution backbone of the site’s transformation, coordinating multiple parallel initiatives related to plant restart, infrastructure upgrades, and process modernization.
Working closely with local teams and Group stakeholders in Germany, this role ensures that projects are not only planned, but effectively delivered within real operational constraints.
This is not a purely reporting PMO role, but a hands-on coordination and delivery role, requiring strong follow-up, stakeholder alignment, and the ability to drive progress in a dynamic and evolving environment.
KEY CHALLENGES AND SUCCESS FACTORS
- Coordinating a Complex Restart: The site is transitioning from a dormant state to active operations, requiring tight coordination between technical teams, contractors, and leadership.
- Managing Multiple Parallel Projects: Success depends on the ability to track, prioritize, and drive several CAPEX and operational initiatives simultaneously.
- Bridging Technical and Business Perspectives: The role requires understanding both engineering realities and financial implications (CAPEX, timelines, operational impact).
- Operating in an Evolving Environment: Structures, priorities, and plans will evolve. The ability to bring clarity and discipline without rigid bureaucracy is essential.
- Driving Accountability Without Formal Authority: Influencing internal teams and external partners to deliver on commitments is a key success factor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Projects Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate and track multiple CAPEX and modernization projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
- Ensure alignment between project plans and plant operational realities, avoiding disruptions and inefficiencies.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and proactively drive solutions.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Work closely with external engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors.
- Monitor performance, ensure deliverables are met, and escalate issues when needed.
- Translate technical discussions into clear execution steps and priorities.
Internal Alignment & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a central coordination point between production, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders involved in projects.
- Support decision-making by providing structured and fact-based insights.
Business & Financial Awareness
- Understand and monitor the impact of projects on CAPEX budgets, timelines, and operational performance.
- Support prioritization and trade-off decisions based on business impact.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide clear, structured updates to Group stakeholders.
- Translate complex project status into concise, decision-ready reporting.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE
Mandatory Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in industrial environments, preferably in:
- Process industries (chemicals, biotech, food, energy, or similar)
- CAPEX projects, plant upgrades, or industrial modernization initiatives
- Proven experience in coordinating multiple projects or stakeholders, ideally in a production environment.
- Exposure to working with external contractors and engineering suppliers.
- Experience in structured, international environments is a plus.
