SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Our client is an international distribution company with warehouses all around the country as well as own retail network while serving over 1000 partners’ points.
THE ROLE
We are searching for a Supply Chain Manager who will have the role of creating supply chain management strategies that will increase efficiency and speed. The new Supply Chain Manager will develop and provide logistics analytics and make recommendations to achieve profitability, customer service, and/or inventory goals being directly responsible for budget and P&L.
One focus point will be fine tuning the already implemented TMS and implementation of a WMS and define and implement KPIs, standardization and automation of transactional processes.
The position will report to General Manager and will have under subordination Transport Manager, Fleet Manager and National Warehouse Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop logistics analytics to make operational performance and trends visible.
- Use common processes tools, and information systems to enable supply chain analysis. Ensure data integrity of all analytics and reports.
- Define, analyze, and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans and develop reporting capability for supply chain Key Performance Indicators
- Provide financial analysis as required and take corrective actions when identifies variations.
- Ensure raw materials availability in the right time, the correct structure, and appropriate quantities to sustain the distribution processes.
- Link in bound transportation with warehouse specific activities.
- Optimize warehouse functions: direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory
- Develop, teach, and reinforce guidelines and protocols.
- Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.
- Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives.
- Handle communications and negotiations with external suppliers
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be an experienced Supply Chain Manager, with a real passion for continuous improvements and proven leadership and organizational skills, someone who is able not only to design processes and frameworks but also drive their implementation in a performant organization but reluctant to change. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally and a demonstrated ability to take the initiative and find innovative ways of delivering solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management field, managing large teams and very complex processes (warehouses with inbound and outbound activities, transport with own and external fleet, procurement with a large supplier’s portfolio).
- University degree Economical or Technical field, ideally a Master Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics and experience in distribution, logistics, FMCG, Pharma or any other very fast-moving and complex from logistic point of view industry.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, purchasing, resource allocation, stock control, materials flow throughout the factory warehousing and storage, goods distribution and transportation, operations in logistics, coordination of people.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel) and knowledge of one ERP operation system (ex Navision would be an advantage).
- Must be able to demonstrate effective team building and leadership skills, with a proven track of change management and transformation of large teams in well-established organizations with high performing teams.
- Demonstrates flexibility in implementing new models of working that accommodate the changing needs of the business and staff.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
- Availability to travel extensively across the country.
