SPECIAL BUILDING MATERIALS TECHNICAL–COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBLE
Location: Romania | National Coverage
Our client is strengthening its Special Building Materials (SBM) division, focused on high-performance mortars and professional construction solutions. As the market becomes more competitive, the special building materials division is expanding its technical and commercial capability to support growth in Romania.
We are searching for an SBM Technical–Commercial Responsible who will play a key role in enabling commercial success by combining technical expertise with strong market understanding. This is an important, highly visible role, working closely with sales, product management, and professional clients across the construction ecosystem.
THE ROLE
The Technical–Commercial Responsible provides advanced technical support for the special mortars portfolio (repair mortars, industrial mortars, flooring systems, grouts, mineral waterproofing, special adhesives and renders) and contributes directly to project acquisition and customer development.
You will work on complex applications, support the sales team in technical–commercial discussions, lead technical trainings, and act as the bridge between the product, the client, and the field. The role has a strong impact on winning projects, strengthening relationships with contractors and applicators, and positioning the division’s solutions competitively in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Expertise & Applications
Offer expert support to sales teams and customers regarding product selection, system solutions, application methods, and technical specifications. Conduct jobsite tests, mock-ups, and evaluations. - Commercial Support in Projects
Participate in client visits, tenders, and key negotiations. Prepare technical proposals, system recommendations, and consumption calculations. Build strong relationships with contractors, applicators, architects, and distributors. - Training & Technical Marketing
Deliver technical training sessions for sales teams, partners, and applicators. Support marketing with technical content, documentation, and application guidelines. - Market & Portfolio Development
Monitor competitor activity, identify new needs in the market, and support the introduction of new products. Provide structured feedback to Product Management and R&D.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
•5–8+ years of experience in construction materials, ideally in special mortars, repair systems, flooring, waterproofing, or related applications.
• Hybrid technical–commercial profile with the ability to translate technical expertise into commercial impact.
• Strong market understanding.
• Confident communicator with professional presence in front of contractors and technical decision-makers.
• Structured, autonomous, and hands-on, able to manage multiple priorities and support the business in a fast-evolving environment.
• Willing to travel regularly for client meetings and on-site support.
