THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist to lead our client’s social media and influencer marketing efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring social media marketing strategies, as well as acting as a consultant for brand managers to help implement their digital campaigns. Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, you will have the opportunity to shape the company’s online presence, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Propose an annual social media and influencer marketing strategy to the Marketing Director for all company brands, in line with their respective brand strategies. This includes exploring new communication channels and methods.
- Campaign Management: Prepare, execute, and manage social media plans across relevant channels. This includes maintaining existing channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) in collaboration with external agencies, while managing paid social campaigns and providing regular performance reports.
- Channel Expansion: Build and manage new social media channels from scratch, such as LinkedIn (internally managed), TikTok, Blogs, or Podcasts, either with or without the support of external agencies, depending on the channel.
- Influencer Campaigns: Design and implement influencer campaigns in alignment with brand positioning, and adjust strategies based on market trends or changes.
- Internal Communication: Share updates on special activities from Romania with international teams via the internal intranet.
- Cross-Functional Support: Support digital media projects initiated by brand managers and media agencies by providing expert recommendations on digital activations, ensuring message consistency across all channels, and identifying the best platforms for each campaign.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors’ social media and influencer activities and develop counter strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Brand Activations: Actively participate in brand discussions, presenting research findings and media feedback, and propose 360-degree digital activities to ensure holistic brand activation.
- Budget & Administration: Manage the allocated budget, ensuring compliance with financial policies, processing invoices, and handling administrative tasks such as contracts and purchase orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with brand managers, the trade marketing team, and the sales team to ensure alignment across departments.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for the Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist role will have 2-4 years of experience, preferably within the FMCG sector or a digital/advertising agency. This individual should possess a unique blend of creativity, analytical skills, and strategic vision, complemented by a keen understanding of digital trends.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a stable yet dynamic environment, not overly fast-paced, but lively enough to keep up with the constantly evolving social media landscape, and:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communication, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute social media and influencer marketing strategies
- Experience with PPC and digital advertising purchasing is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions and present complex ideas effectively
- Innovative, creative, and adaptable, with a strong ability to identify new trends and channels to engage audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using social media management tools, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Basic skills in PowerPoint, Excel are necessary; Canva is considered a plus
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus but not required
