THE ROLE
We are searching for a Senior Business Development to be based in Bucharest, Romania. This role is designed for a high-potential sales professional who can develop strategic client relationships, drive business expansion, and secure high-value contracts.
You will be reporting to the Country Manager and partner with Area Managers, Branch Managers, Key Account Managers, Project Managers as well as various teams from HQ.
As a key part of the commercial team, the Business Development Senior will play a crucial role in identifying new opportunities, expanding the company’s market footprint, and driving revenue growth through consultative sales.
MAIN OBJECTIVE: The role focuses on acquiring new corporate clients, managing strategic accounts, and securing high-value contracts while fostering long-term business relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, proven negotiation skills, and the ability to drive sales in a B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company’s portfolio.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue large-scale business opportunities within targeted sectors.
- Lead complex negotiations and contracting processes, ensuring successful deal closures.
- Manage key account relationships to maximize retention, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, monitor competitors, and adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Represent the company in external meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven business development professional with strong strategic thinking and sales acumen. This role requires a proactive approach, strong leadership potential, and the ability to thrive in a competitive B2B environment.
Experience & Skills:
- 7-10 years of experience in business development, key account management, or B2B sales.
- Proven ability to close high-value contracts with corporate clients.
- Strong expertise in consultative selling, negotiations, and tendering processes.
- Experience in industries such as facility management, outsourcing, logistics, telecom, IT&C, cybersecurity, energy, or corporate services.
- Established network of decision-makers in relevant industries is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar) to track and optimize the sales process.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Romanian.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for client meetings and business development activities.
