THE ROLE
The Quality Manager will lead and manage the quality department, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices across the plant. This position requires a strong, experienced leader to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of quality throughout the production process.
As a key member of the plant’s leadership team, the Quality Manager will report to the Plant President, overseeing a dedicated quality team and implementing quality control processes across departments.
The Quality Manager will oversee quality processes, including customer audits, quality issue management, and compliance with ISO and IATF standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management & Compliance: Develop and maintain quality assurance programs in line with ISO and IATF standards. Manage customer audits and address quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Technical Oversight: Utilize quality systems such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to ensure robust processes. Apply problem-solving methodologies tailored to automotive manufacturing.
- Process Inspection & Standards: Oversee inspection processes to guarantee adherence to automotive standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure robust process inspection practices, strictly adhering to automotive manufacturing regulations, and lead initiatives to maintain continuous compliance.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coach the plant quality team, coordinating quality assurance efforts across departments and upholding quality controls at every stage.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in quality management within the automotive or metalworking sectors. They will have a solid understanding of quality systems and possess strong leadership skills to motivate and guide their team.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Experience: 5+ years in a quality management role, preferably within automotive or metalworking industries. Familiarity with ISO, IATF, and customer audit processes is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in quality systems (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA) and problem-solving methodologies relevant to automotive manufacturing.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading quality teams and coordinating across departments.
- Location Flexibility: Willingness to work onsite, South Romania, 1,5 – 2 hours drive from Bucharest, Craiova or Pitesti, with relocation incentives available for the right candidate.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required for this role, with German language skills as an advantage.
