COMPANY CONTEXT
Our client is a well-established regional player in industrial automation and technical distribution, active across several Central and Eastern European markets. In Romania, the business combines strong local presence with group-level know-how, offering industrial components, spare parts and technical solutions to manufacturing, logistics and process industries.
As the Romanian operation continues to develop its direct customer portfolio, the company is strengthening its commercial team with a senior, hands-on sales leader focused on direct industrial sales, customer development and revenue growth.
THE ROLE
The Industrial Sales Manager is responsible for direct sales of components and spare parts to industrial end-users across Romania. The role is strongly field-oriented and customer-centric, with full ownership of sales performance, margin and customer relationships.
This position is suited to a commercial professional who understands industrial purchasing behavior, maintenance-driven demand, and repeat-order dynamics, and who is comfortable engaging directly with production managers, maintenance teams, engineers and procurement departments.
The role reports directly to top management and works closely with technical, logistics and supplier teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and grow direct sales of industrial components and spare parts to end-customers
- Build long-term relationships with industrial clients, focusing on repeat business and account stability
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing plants and new industrial accounts
- Manage pricing, margins and commercial terms within approved frameworks
- Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular customer visits and technical-commercial discussions
- Accurately forecast sales and manage pipeline activity
- Collaborate closely with internal technical support and operations teams to ensure fast delivery and customer satisfaction
- Represent the company professionally in negotiations and key customer meetings
PROFILE
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, ideally in components, spare parts or technical equipment
- Proven background in direct sales to industrial end-users (manufacturing, logistics, processing, FMCG, automotive, etc.)
- Solid understanding of industrial products such as automation components, pneumatics, mechanical parts, motion systems or similar
- Strong commercial discipline: pricing, margin awareness, pipeline management
- Technically curious and credible in discussions with engineers and maintenance teams
- Autonomous, structured and results-oriented working style
- Fluent Romanian and good English
