THE ROLE
As part of their Global IT team, our client is currently implementing a new Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) and Workforce Identity and Access Management (WIAM) system. To drive this transformation internally, they are looking for an experienced Product Owner CIAM/WIAM to lead the project and ensure smooth and secure implementation.
The Product Owner – CIAM/WIAM will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap of identity and access management solutions within our client’s Global IT structure. This role will be instrumental in implementing new features, ensuring system security and compliance, and collaborating with key stakeholders to integrate IAM solutions seamlessly across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vision and Strategy
- Define and drive the CIAM/WIAM product vision and roadmap, aligning with business needs and security requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in identity and access management (IAM).
- Implementation and Development
- Lead the integration and rollout of the new CIAM/WIAM system, ensuring smooth adoption and functionality.
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to build, test, and implement IAM solutions.
- Prioritize backlog items and define clear user stories for the development team.
- Stakeholder and Team Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders, security teams, and IT developers to gather requirements and drive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, conducting regular risk assessments and audits.
- System Optimization and Stability
- Monitor system performance, security risks, and user feedback to enhance functionality.
- Oversee release management and coordinate with external support teams.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in IAM solutions, product ownership experience, and the ability to navigate complex IT landscapes.
- Education and Experience
- Three or more years of experience in CIAM/WIAM product management or implementation.
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity (Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred).
- Hands-on expertise with IAM technologies such as ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar.
- Technical and Business Skills
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles, authentication protocols, and security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and industry standards.
- Soft Skills and Languages
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and a strategic approach to IT security.
- Fluent English (C1 level) is required; German is a plus.
